Beachy Waves for Short Hair

beachy waves for short hair

The little pup and I are cozied up on the couch as we get 6+ inches of snow on this beautiful March morning. Since it looks like we will be trapped in the house for the next 12 hours, I figured I'd catch up on some blogging and think springy thoughts. I've been experimenting with my new cut for the past two weeks and am really loving beachy waves.

I mentioned in my last post that it takes less than 10 minutes to style my hair from start to finish and that holds true for beachy waves as well. All you'll need is a magic wand and a little hairspray - a curling wand that is. Here are the three steps:

Step One: Grab chunks of hair and wrap backwards around the wand. Wrap strands around the wand two or three times. Wrapping hair backwards makes curls look more natural.

Step Two: Run fingers through curls and "floof".

Step Three: Spray with a light hold hairspray and you've got beachy waves for short hair!

How are you spending the first day of March? On a beach , I hope.

  3. I just love how laidback your do looks. In addition to the carefree style of short hair, the beach waves are totally the perfect match for it to make it look even lovelier. Thanks for the step-by-step tutorial, Kathy! Stay gorgeous! :)
